The 80s Are Coming to the Mountain Winery 

Join us at Mountain Winery on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, for a wild and crazy night of music shared by like-minded fans of 80's music and performances by Big Country, The Vapors, and Oingo Boingo. This one show features three top 80's acts in one night of rock and new wave traditions. Tickets for this show start at just $89 for an evening of music that any 80's fan will not want to miss.

Big Country

Big Country - Scottish band with an anthemic sound that defined the mid 80s. Their debut album 'The Crossing' from 1983 contains the huge singles 'In a Big Country' and 'Fields of Fire' and is considered a classic of the era by fans and critics alike. With a pioneering use of guitars to reproduce the sound of the bagpipes Big Country created a unique Scottish-influenced rock sound of huge appeal today and influence on new generations of rock artists.

The Vapors

You'll also get the chance to see The Vapors performing live on stage. This band was a true original of the new wave scene and created some of the biggest and best songs from the early 80s. A true crossover artist, The Vapors created catchy new wave pop songs that were extremely edgy yet incredibly popular at the same time. The band's legendary hit song "Turning Japanese" is one of the favorites from 80s fans, and fans will also get to hear other very popular songs by The Vapors. The band pulled from the same British new wave movement as other groundbreaking English bands, such as The Police and The Cars, and even though the band was only active for a very short amount of time, they left a huge impact on the music world. The Vapors are back to performing live again and are now playing to a whole new crowd of fans and also satisfying the appetites of old supporters.

Oingo Boingo

This group was known for their alternative type of rock songs that had very intense and skank type of beats to them. Many of the songs were written by one of the greatest song writers of the 80's Danny Elfman. He also wrote the songs for the iconic films 'Weird Science' and 'Batman' and went on to write the music for dozens of films in Hollywood. He also collaborated with Tim Burton on over thirty films including 'Beetle Juice' and 'Sleepy Hollow'. Their final studio album 'Boingo' was just as unique and showcased the band's evolution to the later 80's and 90's. 

Mountain Winery Information

The show is at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. It is a beautiful location in the hills of Saratoga with a great view from the grounds. The venue has seating on multiple levels that hold up to 2,500 people with a great view of the stage. In addition to the seating there are also many food and beverage vendors on site to satisfy your cravings.
