Nile Rodgers & Chic

As co-founder of Chic with bassist Bernard Edwards in 1977, guitarist Nile Rodgers is one of the most important figures in modern music. Long after Chic went on hiatus, the group's unique blend of funk, disco, soul and R&B continued to influence, evolve and get played. And for the last few decades, the guitarist's special production skills and creative guitar work have powered some of the biggest hit of all time, from the late David Bowie's Black Tie Rage to collaboration with the duo Daft Punk on the multi-platinum hit "Get Lucky" (over 6 million copies sold in the USA) and with Diana Ross, among others. His newest work continues to display his talents. Setlists typically include a mix of Rodgers' work with Chic, and his productions for other artists such as Bowie, Ross and Daft Punk.

 As the guitarist for Chic, as well as a producer for many of today's top artists, Nile Rodgers continues to showcase his incredible production skills and creativity. Rodgers' guitar playing, famously known as his "chucking" style of rhythm guitar, has been copied by every major guitar player in the world, including David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Queen, and David Guetta, among many others. Fans will be able to hear a mix of some of Chic's biggest and best hits, as well as some of his production work, such as the hit album produced with Daft Punk for their album Random Access Memories for which they won the Grammy for Album of the Year 2014.

As one of the most influential and prolific producer/songwriters working in popular music today, he has won multiple Grammy Awards, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2017) as a member of Chic, inducted as a songwriter into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. His music influences and is incorporated into every genre of popular music today from Rock to Pop to Dance/Electronic to R&B/Hip Hop.

The Mountain Winery is a long-standing venue for live entertainment in Saratoga, California. The natural beauty of the venue is combined with world-class entertainment to provide a superior setting for a great night out. The venue has superior acoustics and a very friendly atmosphere.
