Saratoga is about to get extra bluesy as the blues kings ZZ Top and American rock legends Night Ranger are back on tour once again.
On August 28, the two legendary rock bands will be playing at the Mountain Winery as part of the collaborative tour across North America.
With five decades under their belts, ZZ Top are back on the road with a new tour titled “The Elevation Tour," however, this show collides with night ranger’s tour dates. The two bands first shared the stage In 1982 when Night Ranger opened for ZZ Top.
This gig is set to be the perfect event for the fans of blues and the 80s rock. With Night Ranger’s recent Farewell tour announcement for Japan, this concert is not to be missed as you never know if it will be the last in America.

The infamous blues band ZZ Top and 80s rock legends the Night Ranger, are back on the roads once again and they are coming to you, Saratoga!
The two will be playing at the Mountain Winery on August 28th As part of the 2025 tours across North America. The tour follows the Night Ranger’s recent announcement of Japan's farewell tour, and is scheduled in between ZZ Top’s “The Elevation Tour”. Understandably, fans are anticipating an unforgettable night.
ZZ Top is an American rock band from Texas formed in 1969, and have been making music and touring worldwide for over five decades. The latest lineup of the band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard on drums, and the late Dusty Hill on bass, who passed away in 2021. In the early days the band did openings for some of the worlds most renowned artists and bands such as The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix, and the 13th Floor Elevators. In 1969 ZZ Top accepted a record deal with London Records, after the first single release “Salt Lake.” In 1973 ZZ Top’s initial steps to success came after the album Tres Hombres reached number eight on the Billboard 200 Album chart. Between 1973 and 1983, ZZ Top released six studio albums with hit singles such as “Tush,” “I Thank You,” “Legs,” and the Gold track “Gimme All Your Lovin’” from their influential 1983 album Eliminator. The labrum became ZZ Top’s signature sound and style.
In 1985, ZZ Top released their highest charting album titled Afterburner, and sold five million copies. Five singles were released from the album and all of which were top 40 hits with most notable being “Sleeping Bag,” and “Stages.” In 1994 the band struck a deal with RCA Records for $35 Million and released their studio album Antenna which sold a million copies. ZZ Top got inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and briefly performed their hit singles "La Grange" and "Tush." From 2006 to 2009, the band released several fan favorite merch such as remastered versions of the albums Tres Hombres and Fandango! as well as a collectors edition for Eliminator.
In 2012 ZZ Top released the 15th and final studio album - for a while - La Futura, produced by the world famous Rick Rubin. Released singles from the album include "I Gotsta Get Paid," and "25 Lighters." In July 2021, Dusty Hill’s hip injury resulted in his death later that month. His wife reported Hill suffered from chronic bursitis. In August the same year Gibson confirmed the Bands upcoming 16th studio album and that Dusty Hill had recorded bass and vocals for the album prior to his death.
Night Ranger is a Californian Hard Rock band from San Francisco, formed in 1982. The band recorded their debut album Dawn Patrol in 1982 for Boardwalk Records. After the release the band did several opening shows for the likes of ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne. The following year they signed a contract with MCA. Singles from Dawn Patrol are top 40 hit singles "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," and fan favorite "Sing Me Away." Night Ranger’s monumental breakthrough came after the release of their second studio album, Midnight Madness, in 1983 and gave the band their headlining shows. The album is known for the tracks "When You Close Your Eyes,"and "Sister Christian."
Night Ranger have released 13 studio albums to date, with hit singles "Sentimental Street," "Goodbye," "The Secret of My Success," "I Did It for Love," "Forever All Over Again," "Growin' Up in California," and "Somehow Someway." Night Ranger continues to draw in global fans and listeners with their 80’s glam metal and hard rock music.
